Training Concept

The concept of employee training and its importance in improving their performance

Any facility or company can achieve its goals if everyone in it does his work in the most efficient manner, and so that the workers can do this, they need good training. It may require the intervention of many people in the training process to determine the needs of the facility and also the needs of the individual and to choose or design the appropriate training to achieve these needs, in addition to transferring and evaluating the effectiveness of this training.

Training in general is defined as the continuous process through which the trained employee is provided with the necessary information and skills, in order to be able to perform specific tasks better, bring about positive development in his performance and prepare him to adapt to change in the future.

Training is a strategic option for any party looking to prepare human cadres capable of meeting work needs and keeping pace with the rapid developments and changes that occur in the fields of work.

In-service training is of great importance due to what training prepares for the employee with new knowledge and skills required by his profession, or by identifying the best solutions to the problems he faces while practicing his profession, which increases his ability to perform his work and helps him to avoid mistakes, thus reaching the desired level that one side aspires to. Striving for advancement and progress.

Staff training objectives.

Professor Mohamed Abdel-Gawad defines in his book “Before You Bring It to Light” the training objective as: “a written statement describing the result that the trainer intends to reach with the participants at the end of the training.” next :

Defining goals helps to set a general framework for the training session that the trainer manages

Setting goals helps determine the time available to accomplish what you want in the available time and control that time

- Setting goals helps in evaluating the trainees and identifying the extent to which the information and experiences that the trainer aims to deliver to the trainees, and then the possibility of change to achieve the training objectives.

By setting goals, the coach can anticipate the questions and situations that he may encounter and determine how to deal with them.

Determining goals helps the trainer to identify the appropriate illustrations that can help him achieve the training goal he seeks to achieve.

Main sections of employee training objectives

The traditional objectives of employee training:

A) Training new employees and introducing them to the policy and activities of the organization in which they will work.

b) Providing the employee during the service with specific information or skills when making changes in work methods and methods or in regulations and laws.

2- Objectives of problem solving in employee training:

When the employees of the establishment face problems that need to be solved, then the role of training comes in searching for the best ways that help the employees to overcome these problems.

3- Creative goals for employee training:

It aims to achieve high levels of work performance, through the use of advanced scientific methods, and distinct elements capable of innovation, innovation and creativity.

Recognizing the objectives of training shows us the importance that has been given and still is given to this important element in human resource development, and it is natural to raise questions about the feasibility of training given the material and human capabilities allocated to it in organizations. But this trend in itself includes the answer to these questions. If it were not for the importance of training as one of the foundations of human resource development for the organization, the organizations would not have worked to establish departments specialized in it, and provided them with the material and human elements to achieve their goals. The importance of training can be clarified through the following elements:

A - Improving employee performance: This is reflected in increasing the quantity of his production and improving his quality at the lowest cost, and the least effort, and in the shortest time.

b- Keeping abreast of technological and organizational developments: One of the results of technological progress is the widespread use of modern and complex machines, which requires organizations to train their employees to use and maintain all new modern equipment. As for the recent organizational developments, the organizations have prompted the training of their employees to be able to keep pace with and absorb the modern organization.

C - Reducing the need for supervision: the trained employee who is aware of what his work requires can accomplish that work without the need for continuous guidance or supervision from his superiors, thus saving their time and making them devote themselves to other activities in the service of the organization. This is the opposite of the case of the untrained worker, as he remains in need of permanent guidance and continuous supervision by his superiors, and thus works to waste their time in matters that could have been exploited in other activities.

D- Improving the organization's services: as well as the way of providing and displaying the goods it produces, which is reflected in the image of good relations between the organization and its clients.

E - Reducing the percentage of work accidents: the statistics related to work accident injuries and among trained workers are much lower than among untrained workers, and the lower the percentage of work accidents, the fewer losses that the organization bears in treating its workers and this led to an increase in its production and thus increase its sales and profits.

F- Achieving job stability in the organization: and giving it a quality of stability and a good reputation in the community. The trained employee manages his work to the fullest extent possible, which leads to an increase in the management’s satisfaction with his production, which prompts it to reward him, either by increasing the salary or providing other benefits, and thus the workers are motivated Because they are satisfied with the organization and feel that they are part of it, so they are less likely to leave work and move to another organization, as they defend their organization in the community.

The trainer should specify what they are expected to obtain during each hour of training, and explain to the trainees the training goal of their preparation, in unambiguous words, and the trainer should indicate what he expects from the trainee. A specific goal, and accordingly, every hour of training contributes to the addition to the overall goal.
